When you ask us about in-office whitening, we will have you come in to consult with Dr. Kisner. She will begin by examining the strength of your teeth. If they are healthy and strong, you are a candidate for whitening. We do this to ensure that your teeth are clear of decay and can handle some minor sensitivity with the whitening bleach.
The hygienist will begin by preparing your teeth for the treatment. Your teeth will be deeply cleaned and dried. We will apply a protectant to your gums before starting the process. The hygienist will then apply a whitening bleach with hydrogen peroxide in it. Once we apply it to all of your teeth, we will use a blue light to activate the solution. The teeth whitening treatment will last for approximately an hour. Afterward, your smile will look brand new! We will offer some whitening touch-up instructions to help you maintain the work.
Professional Take-Home Teeth Whitening
If you decide that you would rather whiten your teeth at home and at your own convenience, talk to us about our professional take-home whitening. We will fabricate whitening trays using impressions of your teeth. These trays will hold the whitening gel in your mouth. We will also give you the whitening gel to brighten your teeth how you want.
With your professional take-home whitening, you can whiten your teeth whenever you want! It is a simple process. You put the whitening gel into the whitening trays and place the trays in your mouth. You can whiten your teeth for 1-2 hours during the day or at night while you are sleeping. The results may not be as dramatic as in-office whitening, but they will still be very noticeable.
